About 10 years ago, the TII Group developed the PowerBooster additional drive which has been continuously optimized since then. In combination with SCHEUERLE-KAMAG K25 modular vehicles, operators in North and South America have long been successfully using this in a broad range of assignments. Now, at the CONEXPO-CON/AGG 2017 in Las Vegas, the TII Group presented a new PowerBooster addition for the North American market: the SCHEUERLE HighwayGiant PB (PowerBooster). A further highlight among the exhibits was the SCHEUERLE HighwayTrailer MES (Modular Extra Strong) which allows the transportation of standard loads and self-supporting long loads using one vehicle and thus reduces the amount of required investment for the operator. At the Las Vegas show, the TII Group also exhibited two vehicles from the self-propelled modular transporter sector: the SCHEUERLE-KAMAG K25 SP and SCHEUERLE SPMT Light.
"At the CONEXPO, we proved that we are indeed setting standards in the heavy-duty transport industry. The HighwayTrailer MES is the lightest and most sustainable solution available on the market. The foldable HighwayTrailer for approval-freeempty runs makes operations correspondingly easy and economical for our customers as no other vehicle before has done. Our fully developed and provenPowerBooster vehicles are available with up to 1,000 horsepower and are unmatched by any competitor regarding their thrust/speed ratio. We gladly accept the tremendous amount of time and effort we have poured into the development of this product in order to be able to offer our customers the ideal type of vehicles”, said Bernd Schwengsbier, Managing Director of TII Sales. The joint sales and marketing company of SCHEUERLE, NICOLAS and KAMAG is supported in North America by a network of sales and service partners thus ensuring the close proximity to its customers.
SCHEUERLE HighwayGiant PB (PowerBooster)
With the SCHEUERLE Highway Giant PB, the TII Group presents a Dual Lane Trailer which can be folded and loaded onto standard trucks thus guaranteeing efficient mobilization - an innovation which was first introduced into the market by SCHEUERLE. This naturally saves on any cost-intensive approval processes. The construction not only allows different vehicle widths (4.8m, 5.4m, 6m) but also offers the possibility of safely widening the vehicle when under load. Adaptation to ensure compliance with the range of different regulations in place in the individual US statesconcerning transit transports can therefore be carried out simply and cost-effectively with just one vehicle. In order to achieve an optimum payload/dead weight ratio, the bogie units are designed using a very stable lightweight construction. A gooseneck or drawbar is used for connecting to the pulling vehicle whilst equipment such as spacer coupling elements or decks can also be easily integrated. The central element of the Highway Giant is SCHEUERLE's proven pendulum axle technology. The hydraulic cylinders in the pendulum axles offer the greatest displacement volume on the market which has been designed to allow loads to be driven under and then raised. The SCHEUERLE pendulum axle bearings, in connection with the precise and smoothly-operating steering system, guaranteesimple manoeuvring procedures also when negotiating tight corners. With the SCHEUERLE Highway Giant PB, an auxiliary aggregate provides additional thrust during the journey and allows the use as a self-propelled vehicle without a tractor. Thus, under certain circumstances, a second tractor unit is not required during transport and the load can be safely manoeuvredwhen reaching the final destination even in confined spaces.
SCHEUERLE HighwayTrailer MES (Modular Extra Strong)
The SCHEUERLE HighwayTrailer MES (Modular Extra Strong) featured at the show is characterized by the lowest dead weight and the highest bending moment that are available on the market and builds on the successes of the non-modular models, and rounds off the successful SCHEUERLE HighwayTrailer series. It merges the requirements for transporting oversized loads as well aspoint loads on a single vehicle thus enabling the owner to carry out an unprecedented range of transport assignments with only one modular vehicle. The SCHEUERLE HighwayTrailer MES allows configuration it as a semi-trailer for all types of everyday loads along with the option of connecting two platform trailers for accommodating extremely long loads, e.g. distribution pillars, containers, or large beams weighing up to 115 tonnes. This allows transport companies to expand their transport portfolio if required while, at the same time, using the SCHEUERLE HighwayTrailer MES as a semi-trailer for "everyday assignments". This constellation can significantly reduce the costs for the vehicle fleet and opens up completely new possibilities for accepting orders to move special lengths or very high point loads.
SCHEUERLE SPMT Light
With the SCHEUERLE SPMT Light, the TII Group presents a versatile transport solution for in-house transports. The main feature of the SPMT Light series, which is only offered on the world market through the TII Group,is the compact design of the vehicle modules. Available as a 2 or 4-axle, it guarantees optimum flexibility for smaller transportation jobs, e.g. in production halls. Payloads of up to 220t are possible. Naturally, the SPMT Light also has the well-known advantages of a traditional SCHEUERLE SPMT such as the robust design of the wheel bogies and the electronic multi-directional steering with all known steering programs. On request, the SCHEUERLE SPMT Light is available with an emission-free electric drive - likewise an innovation from SCHEUERLE which was introduced to the world market in 2016.
SCHEUERLE-KAMAG K25 SP
With the SCHEUERLE-KAMAG K25 SP, the TII Group presented a tried and tested all-rounder in Las Vegas from the area of self-propelled, modular transporters. SCHEUERLE-KAMAG K25 H SP and SPE vehicles are available as three, four or six-axle versions. They are the cost-effective addition in order to be able to assemble self-propelled transport units with existing K25 H-vehicles. Their advantage lies not only in the low and robust design but also in the sophisticated control technology. Operators of non-driven K25 H fleets appreciate the SP and SPE models which can easily be coupled with the towed versions. In this way, driven vehicle combinations can be assembled for on-site transport assignments thus allowing new business areas to be opened up.
